Had the same problem Paul ,the white tab at the back needs to be at the back of the rear panel and not at the front. From memory the tab can be turned sideways and the door will open further and stay open. Much better.

I just looked and yes, mine is behind - you can only see it from under the sink...

I moved my latch to the back and added a spacer between the latch and the "drawer"...works great now.

That's a great idea. Gives that extra room to work.

We were just discussing how Catalina could design such a great boat and then put in those 2 "drawers". And the storage area below the galley cabinets. That area may be even worse. I can't organize them or see what I have in there which makes me insane! Has anyone done anything creative there?

For the KFS drawer, I have been thinking of using a small chain instead of the tab. Bolt one end of the chain to the back of the drawer and attached the other end of the chain to a hook somewhere behind the sink. Using the hook you could adjust to get the right length of chain, or unhook to open all the way.

Paul, I know you will ask for pictures, but this is still just a concept. I have bought the chain, but am still trying to figure out the best place for the hook behind the sink.
