Anybody else have the 1997 Kohler 9EOZ generator powered by a yanmar 3TNE78 engine. My 1998 Passage 42 came with this setup and I am trying to replace the impeller on the generator raw water intake. So far I have had no luck locating a replacement impeller so I thought I would ask everybody here. If you have this setup and have found a source for impellers please let me know. I actually did go to them and they couldn't help. They also didn't take the time to try looking it up in any manuals....problem is that it's a sherwood impeller and they only try to match through sherwood catalogs. I think the PO must have replaced with sherwood and now they don't make this size impeller any more. Any chance you know the part # of the impeller so I can help the local guys? Thanks, Brian

Brad, We have spoken before on the Bay and in Mill Creek, but I cannot find your e-amil .. so am using this thread. I am looking to have a Bimini made for my 42 and was looking at the example you posted a couple of years ago. Problem is that the resolution of your picture is not good enough to see how it is attached. Would it be OK with you if I went over to Deltavile and took some pictures. I used Kohler Part Number 22986 I had a heck of time finding an outlet to get one. I used one in Warsaw Va.. but they went out of business. The other number I had was Chesapeake Cove Marine in Deltaville 804-776-7572. In any case, suggest you order a parts/service manual at the same time. Also, when you take the old impeller out, do NOT lose the "key" (a small half moon piece of metal) which holds the impeller in place. These are very hard to find.. Good Luck

Now that's going beyond the call of duty....I am still trying to get help from the local Yanmar people here in So. Cal but no luck. Called them tuesday and still no reply. They all have a problem with the engine model #. Someday I'll get it squared away. Brian
