I am looking for a source for a duplcate or a blank from which a
duplicate can be made for the very unusual looking companion way
key. I recently purchased a 1976 Vega.

I have what I believe is an original Vega key - kept as a remembrance
after the lock on Privateer Chance (now Spindrift) #1879 was broken and
replaced. It is brass w/ a large ring - ca. 3 mm x 2.2 mm. I would be
willing to lend it - only ask "my word is my bond" of a Vega owner.

The key what you are talking about is a Finnish one and it can simply be
duplified here in Holland. If... it is the same one as we have: messing, about 7
cm long, at its foot (where it goes in the lock) a small open half moon. Our
Vega is from 1979, so I think it is the same key as yours. But I don't know if
all the locks are the same. If you can't get anyone over there you can send me
your key and I let it duplify for you.
