Hello, my wife and I are going from Boston to Key West this coming week and would love to get a sail on while there, was wondering what the sailing options are down there ?

Boat going too?...... Sailing depends on hurricane damage. Bahia Honda State Park is/was a place to launch into beautiful water from their lagoon on the Gulf side. Check out Boot Key Harbor (Marathon, FL) if possible.

No boat?..... Check on sunset cruises form Key West. Check on boat to Dry Tortugas.....ferry? or Fly there to spend more time on the island. We did not do either, so I can't speak on either method of travel. Take pictures!

Wife and I did this several years ago. We ended up settling for a head boat cruise on the Mohican or Adirondack I don't remember which. You can find a few private charterers but seemed like tour operators - not focused on sailing. There is the Key West Community Sailing Center which has smaller boats. We couldn't connect with them probably because it was the off season - refuge from winter for us but not so much for them.
I can say this about the keys. If you don't get out on the water you haven't visited the keys.

Sailing is fantastic in the Keys and Key West is tops.
In your own boat? Also stop on Key Largo and sail out to the John Pennekamp Reef where there is beautiful snorkeling. The statue is pretty kool

My wife and I sailed my hobie 18 to spoil islands just off the public boat launch for picnics and out to catch a mooring on the Key West reef.
The unpopulated Marquesas Islands are about 35 miles west, half way to Dry Tortugas. Dry Tortugas is a great stop for history, nature and fishing buffs. There is a whole lot to do. Fishing for mackerel, grouper or tarpon or dive for spiny lobster.

If you are asking about sailboat rentals, I'm sorry I don't have any information except to say there are rental outfits in Key West and along the way, on Boot Key, Marathon, and Key Largo; probably Islamorada and Fiesta Key as well. The wind is great, be careful of the reefs, they come right to the surface.

I know you will have fun, I'm jealous.
