The fob looks les cumbersome than the float. great gift idea or is it to early for that.

I had one for a while but it self-destructed long before I could see if it worked.

I have them on all my car keys. I had one deploy once when I dumped a beer on it. Worked great! What you do want to do is be sure you don't exceed the recommended weight, altho it will handle a decent amount.

Blackberry

Happened to me a few years ago on launch day. Just got the boat to the dock, and was leaning over the pushpit rail to put a line on a side cleat, and the Blackberry flipped out of my shirt pocket straight into the drink. Doh! Far as I know, it is still sitting under the boat in the slip these years later, kept company by a few on screw dirivers, sockets and wrenches, I suspect.
