I have a 1981 33' Hunter and my key and starter switch aren't working. Any help on where I can pick on e up or a new control panel?

If that is anything like the wiring on my '83 HC37 there is a fuse mounted on the engine that is in the feed to the control panel. You may want to check that. (It also provides an easy to access test point for power going to the panel)

I had a similar issue. I posted a topic on it. I would first check the fuse. It's easy to find. It's next to the starter. I had a loose connector. It took 10 seconds to fix. If the fuse is blown, replace it but considerate it a sign that something else is going on such as a short somewhere in your system.

Best of luck!

Check the wiring harness between the control panel and the engine. With time and hull flexing they tend to chaff where they come in contact with the fiberglass around bends and may have cut clean through the power wire. Just another possibility.
