Kevin, Thanks for response to my last question about in water storage and the PSS seal, which we LOVE by the way! Would a zinc placed where you mentioned inside the boat help protect the shaft from stray electricity as well even though the zinc insn't on the shaft outside the boat in the water? Just curious if if would still protect the shaft or not. Getting a little far a field from your purpose here, but I'm just wondering aloud. BTW for the winter I hung one of those heavy duty fish zincs over the side and clamped it to a chainplate for extra protection already. Thanks for our input. Bob Knott H380

Zinc

Hello Bob, The zinc will do nothing more then help to keep the rotor in place. Since the zinc is not exposed to the fluid medium there will be little to no reaction between it and the shaft. Hope this helps. Kevin
