Can anyone recommend a nice(clean is important)resort and sailboat marina on Kentucky Lake? We are planning to trailer our sailboat down for a few days get-away when the weather warms up. We have 2 small kids, so a pool and other activities near by would be fun. Turtle Bay Resort? Light House Landing? KY Beach resort? Any input appreciated.

Lighthouse landing

Check out their website (Link below and also listing on this site with Hunter dealers). Nice marina, cabins available. Walk across the road to Ms. Patty's Landing for delicious bread cooked in flower pots and delicious pork chops. Great shops for browsing. Happy sailing

Stayed at both

Have stayed at both Lighthouse Landing, and Green Turtle Bay Resort and they are both Very nice. Lighthouse landing has direct access to Kentucky Lake while Green Turtle is on the Lake Barkly side which is a little shallow and connects to Kentucky Lake by a canal..Have eaten at the KY Beach Resort and it appears nice. Make sure you go into town and eat at Miss Polly's ..

Good People At Lighthouse Landing

We just bought a boat that had been docked at Lighthouse Landing. With multiple trips to the marina and many telephone calls, we got a good indication of how they take care of business. You could not hope to work with two better people than Marty and Tim. I am not familiar with the other marinas but their marina is extremely well protected from the elements. I my opinion it would be an excellent place to dock during your vacation.

Lighthouse Landing is the place

If you want peace & quiet, I'd recommend Lighthouse Landing. It's strictly sailboats and very clean. Say hello to Tim for me. Green Turtle Bay is also nice, but it's a mixture of big power boats & sailboats, so it can be a bit more of a party atmosphere, especially during the warmer months. I think GTB has a swimming pool, but I know LL does not. They're within a long walk of each other, but on different lakes, so the availability of land-related activities would be pretty close.

Lighthouse Landings was great!!!

We stayed at Lighthouse Landings last August. Great place as everyone has said. The shower/restroom facilities were top notch CLEAN! Their ramp will do not the best I have used. There is no dock next to it which makes it a little harder to put in and out. Were going back later this spring. Hopes this helps. Alan

paris landing state park

We have always enjoyed Paris Landing State Park. It's near the state line in Tennessee. Also Lake Barkley state park in Kentucky is nice. The golf course looked nice though I don't play. The facilities at PLSP were OK. We would anchor out a night or two and stay in the lodge a day or two. At lake Barkley we flew in to their airport and didn't make it to the marina. I caught quite a few catfish while anchored at night. Tom
