Has anyone recently navigated Kent Narrows in Grasonville MD lately? What's entrance from the north like? Comfortable navigating skinny water but not sure what to expect with the bridge for the first time. We have 63ft clearance. 5-1/2 draft.

No amount of explaining can give you the important details you need. I was curious, and checked Navionics and Aqua Maps charts - I suggest you get Aqua Maps and register, than download the US Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) overlay to get the clearest picture. there’s a lot of shoaling
Navionics notes-
Bascule Bridge Tender: 410-643-5963 Be alert that when you pass the bridge, the red/green markers switch sides. Otherwise you may quickly find yourself aground. Be aware of the current in the Narrows. Down current boats should be allowed right of way. Fixed Bridge Horizontal clearance 65 feet. Overhead Power Cable Auth Clearance 85 feet. The last span on the eastern side of the old highway bridge is shoal and not passable.

We chartered out of Rock Hall in October and our contract specifically prohibited transiting the Narrows It seems like sailors like to lose their masts, trying to hold against the current. It’s a long trip around Bloody Point and back up the bay, but it was the only way we could get to St. Michaels
