Non Skid Care
John, I have a 1988 H33.5. I recently read on HOW that Future floor care products was being used to "seal" non skid with nice results. I pressure washed my deck about three months ago and applied Future to two areas to test the results. One area is doing great--the area has a sealed appearance and is easy to maintain. The finish is not glossy; therefore, eliminating reflection that can cause eye fatigue. Also, I do not notice any reduction in the nonskid / gripping characteristic when wet. On the second area, I applied Future a little too thick and noticed some discoloration where the liquid pooled. I will remove it with an amonia solution and reseal it. In reading the application instructions, I noted that Future is not a wax, but a floor sealer. The results look promising so far, I think that I am going to wait until the Spring to further evaluate before applying it to the entire deck nonskid. This stuff seams to work great and is very inexpensive.
