Keel width at the base

Hi AllI wonder if anybody knows how wide the keel is at the base (bottom) of the keel. I'm sorting a trailer and I need to know to finish the centre boxing of the trailer.Many thanks in advance.CheersGraeme Panacea

Just measured - Reckon it is about 150mm (6") but
that is in the dark and measuring the sleeper the keel sits on then taking the
gaps away. My maths is usually ok but leave some wriggle room, you can always
use wedges

The inside width at the bottom of the channel is 8¾ inches and at the top it is 9⅜ inches. My 2nd generation keel at it\'s widest touches the carpet at one side and leaves a gap of ~1 inch to the carpet on the other side.Alan

Haven't been really following this as Lyric is in Brookings. OR. We're currently in Kauai. Just wanted to add to be sure of which series your boat it as Series 1 has a narrower keel than a Series 2 and I don't know about series 3.
