just purchased a 20 ft1973 enfena daysailer and it needs a new retractable keel,what is the minimuim weight that i can get by with,its a rather wide boat....

I have never heard of an enfena sail boat,
But the side view reminds me a whole lot of an Ensonata which was made during the 70's.

I may have something that will work for you?? I made a keel for my 25 about 8 months ago? It worked fine in Lake Lanier but I bought a factory keel so can put my boat in the ocean. The keel I made is about 450 pounds and if you are in Charlotte it is pretty close to Lake Lanier??

I was correct, but
I misspelled Ensenada. Google "Ensenada sailboat" and go to page 2 or three and there should be one listed on Ebay. There is a photo and it looks just like yours. Have a good day. It is not a rare boat, but an elder boat. Tom

I second the idea that your boat is an Ensenada. I spent a lot of time looking at affordable boats back in the mid 70s when I just started teaching school for $7600 a year. This boat sure looks like the Ensenada as I remember it. With enough searching, I bet you will find some specs out there.
