Keel up or down?

This may sound like a stupid question, but this is our first season of mooring our H 23.5. Is the keel ok to leave down when the boat is just buoyed?

The boat will follow the currents more with the keel up, than down. The fin itself doesn't really care how you're using it, just try to keep it off the bottom.

Down, lest you forget to lower it.....been there, done that, not enjoyable.

The 23 doesn't really mind too much.."up" and "down' is more like "horizontal" or "vertical" ... the fin is always in the water.

Thanks for all of your input, we were just concerned that it might get unnecessary stress if we left it down.
