Keel Repairs completed

Using advice on the board I first scraped and chiseled off all of the old fiberglass crap on my Iron keel. Some of it was so loose It just fell off I did get someone to help me with this part of the job. At 75 and after having back surgery last winter some help was in order.
I than washed the entire keel off with lacquer thinner. step 3 was 2 coats of pettit Rust Lock #6980. And finally 2 coats of West #105 Epoxy Resin This completes the job All there is left
to do in the spring is 2 coats of ablative bottom paint. Hopefully I will not have any more problems with the keel

Hopefully your keel will be well protected for a long time.
I am curious to know how well this treatment holds up.
