just hauled out catalina 27 for season. bottomed-out, a bit, three times during a sail in june when i was caught in 30-40 knot winds. happy to see little damage to bottom. no "catalina smile." but full length of bottom of keel scraped and scared, extensively. may i just paint-it-over, well, in the spring, or do i have to grind, sand, fill and paint? please advise.
