I am looking a buying a 1985 hunter 23 foot sailboat. After reading through the archives I have some questions about the keel. I have read that there were 2 different keel designs for that year one good and the other not so good. The boat is advertised as a winged keel but it really doesnt have any wings to speak of. It does have a flatted bottom edge that sits on the trailer that sticks out a couple of inches but that it. It does have what he calls a board extention. Which is a swing keel that is attached to the fixed keel that can be raised and lowered. It is about 3 feet long and about 2 feet wide. Can anybody shead any light on this keel. The rest of the boat is in great shape. After reading the archives the keel is my only concern.
