Keel plug..

Ive been nursing the keel plug for some years but its getting a bit brittle.
So i take it to the hardware store and as best as i can tell, it looks like 9/16” dia with 24 tpi.
is this correct?
Where do I buy one?

I'm pretty sure it's metric. I just mic'd mine; the diameter is 14.5mm for whatever that is worth.

Chances are you have a fasteners store in your area. I'd take it there and see if they can match it. At the very least, they could definitely give you its size, and mcmaster.com probably has something. You want bronze, not stainless.

If all else fails. This place in Sweden sells them, and the price is not bad at about $10 USD for two of them. Shipping probably wouldn't be exorbitant on something that small, either.
