keel lock pin location?

is there a pin to lock the keel in place when it is in the down position and where is it located?

There really is only one place it could be Marc. But under the fore seat at the table, lift the cushion and cover, and stick your head in. You will see the smaller lock bolt, and the larger swivel bolt. There are plastic covers in the cabin to get at the heads. It is my understanding that you do NOT want to pull that pivot bolt without proper preparation.Check out the manuals at:http://www.macgregor-boats.com/sailaway3.html

Aye, Captain.....

Inside the cabin is the keel trunk. Look on each side and you will see plastic hole caps. Pop them off and there you go. REMEMBER: stuff a piece of sponge into each hole before you go sailing whether or not you used the locking bolt. Otherwise, water WILL gush in on a hard beat. Happy Mac sailing!
