Okay, how do I extract a bent keel locking bolt? It was not in the locked position - through the keel - and is pretty well bent so I can't remove it and reinstall it to lock the keel down. Is the nut supposed to be accessible from the starboard side of the trunk? There's no access hole there. I read Bob's response to John's similar problem. Hope I don't have to drop the keel, but, hey . . . Any suggestions would be appreciated.

bent keel bolt

I had a similar problem. I raised the keel so their was no pressure on the bolt and reached through the hatch in the top of the table seat and managed to get a wrench on the nut. then with some effort I got the nut off and worked the bolt out
