My boat was just launched and developed a leak at the two rear keel bolts. Has anyone ever had that? It is an '88 and it looks like it has been patched there before. I have known this boat for seven years and have never seen it leak. Now when I finally bought it it leaks. Does anyone think that if I remove the keel and hull joint caulking and rebed that it would stop? I'm going to wait till late August and pull it out early to do this. Any suggestions on proceedure? Has any ever tightened or removed the keel bolts on a 285? This past winter the seacock for the head inlet water cracked. I didnt catch it before it went in. When I turned the ball valve open it leaked. Does anyone know for sure if it's metric or standard 3/4 inch? I appreciate any answers Ron O.
