Hi In the fall when we hauled the boat I noticed that the keel joint was going to need some work again in the spring. I have been to check on the boat a few times this winter and noticed that water had been "weeping" from the joint in places. I thought this was normal because it had taken on water since the joint had been opened. What seems to me is that it continues to be wet around a few areas of the joint, even 5 months later. Is it possible that there is water in the bilge that is making its way along the bolts to the outside of the boat. Another funny thing I noticed is on the very bottom of the hull there seems to be alot of condensation in a few areas, could this indicate ice between the hull and the liner or has the sun just not been able to get at the very bottom of the boat. Sounds like there is water in the bilge....have you gone into the boat to check this out? I would think that if water was in the bilge and it froze....when it got warm outside there would be condensation on the exterior of the hull until the water inside reached a similar temp......Sounds like if it is weeping from the keel bolts that it might be a significant amount of water...and if it gets between the bolts and freezes, well this might cause additional situations to arrise.
