Sling it !
Well we all know that the factory tells us not to try and jack the C-22 off the trailer because of needing to support the entire hull all at once. There is no one point of the hull that will support the entire weight of this boat at any given time.My advice to you in Tacoma or anywhere else for that matter. Call your nearest marina, probably on the coast or on a lake that has a crane, with a sling that is designed to lift the C-22. The lifting points can be obtained from Catalina- the factory or Catalina Direct. If you can find a marina that has a sling already made for lifting the C-22 it may be just the cost of having them lift the boat long enough for you to put it into a cradle. Most good boat yards have a cradle that will support it properly. The cost for this varies but if it were me I would rent the space needed to do the work there.Reason being, if for instance you needed either an extra pair of hands or parts you stand a much better chance of finding someone right there to assist you. There is nothing worse than to tackle a project like this to find at some point you are caught in a compromising position ( safety wise ) and no one around to help. There is no amount of money saved that can rationlize a broken hand, arm, crushed ribs etc. or for that matter a damaged hull. So there you go Brian.Let us know how you made out.
