Hello, I have discovered a hairline crack approximatly one foot long on the keel of my oday 25 that penetrates through the gel coat. It was oozing some red liquid and water in a few areas. My plan is to grind out this crack to a depth of a 1/4" or 1/8" with a rotary tool and then fill it in. Perhaps fill it in with new gel coat or perhaps some high quality 3m marine fiberglass strand filler. Am I taking the correct approach? If not what would people suggest. Anything else I should look for? Thanks in advance for the help!!
