Too cool. Not sure it will replace my diver.

Every time I have an invention idea, I find out it's already something already for sale. I'm NEVER gonna be able to quit my day job at this rate. :(

So lets see Diver cost $100/ 3 months, Keel Crab is 2000 Eu or about $2300( not sure of the exact exchange rate) = 23 *3 = 72 months or about 6 years, Think I'll stick with the diver, he needs the work and frankly not many things last more than 6 years anyway.

Last I heard you can't clean in the water with ablative paint...at least legally.

Well it depends on the State Laws.
The Gulf States have 3 miles. Feds good to beyond.
Directly from our State marine patrol... State and Feds have a shared 3-5 mile agreement.

Outside 25 miles you can dump anything from human wastes or boat stuff. Not my cup of tea, but legal.
Jim...

PS: Before you jump on me... You can't barge wastes. This is pleasure craft, cargo ships, etc and only residue of oils.

So the divers that scrub bottoms all over SF Bay to clean the scum off of the ablative paint are creating a hazard?

You can't sand it but it is cleaned just like the robot all the time

Hey... I just made a discovery...
If I take my boat out for a sail in a stiff breeze for a couple of hours, when I get back to the marina the slime and stuff is gone.
I think I'll do this more often.

I had a keel crab. He was sitting on the wing of my keel and scared the s##t out of me when I dove down to clean the wing. From the surface it just looked like slime. When he stood up and faced me claws raised about two feet from my face I almost hit my head on the hull bottom.
