They WILL come lose (regardless of torque considerations) if you exceed 5 or 6 knots in coastal waters for any longer period of time. My friend (h34 owner as well) had to work his bolts at least once every three or four weeks during an Atlantic crossing two years ago. I never have to touch mine unless I head into the ocean. It really depends on sea conditions and speed. My rule of thumb was "the tighter the better), I know this sounds scary, but I've tried torque settings, it's all the same.Christof
