Keel bolt torques

Jim, I received these torque values from Hunter Customer Service earlier in April. 3/8" = 21 ft/lbs 1/2" = 45 ft/lbs 5/8" = 97 ft/lbs 3/4" = 132 ft/lbs 1" = 325 ft/lbs 1 1/4" = 546 ft/lbs I question the 1" and 1 1/4" values since they are so high, but I didn't have to worry about them since my 30T has 5/8" bolts. They also confirmed my thoughts about the "fix" for the cracks between the keel and hull -- suggesting "grinding a small groove in-between the keel and hull joint and filling this with 3M 5200". The yard was going to repair with epoxy putty which I thought would be too brittle. I found out yesterday, after getting back in water and checking things out, that I was getting some seawater seeping into my bilge through the cracks. The 5200 should be flexible enough so as to prevent cracks from forming again.

Keel crak fix

A question for Pat, which fix did you use? I'm there now and need to know if you used the epoxy and got the leak or was it vice versa? Thanks Ron
