Keel Bolt Condition and small keel damage question

As for the small crack in the keel: I ground out the seam around the damage area with an angle grinder to remove the bedding compound. I will be filling the gap with Pettit Flexpoxy, glassing, and fairing the joint. Although after this repair I cannot imagine that it is much of a flexible joint anymore.

Nice job and write-up - the keel bolts look great for a 40 year old bolt that had rotten core.

Thanks! My primary concern was the keel bolts, as they are for anyone who has them. I figured this was a great opportunity to kill 2 birds with one stone. Get a good look at the keel bolts and address a known issue on these boats.
