Keel and trailer problem

Hey,
My keel on my 216 does not go up all the way, causing problems when I have to put it on the trailer. Does anyone have any ideas on how to remedy this situation? Also, when I tried to trailer it last fall, I bent the bracket near the bow on my venture trailer. Has anyone had of these problems?

Dave Condon will have the best answer. On my H260 he showed me that my center board line is too short, making it difficult to raise it completely. You might check that.
