Hello All,
This is going to be a bit hard for me to do, but I'm going to sell
Katia Sofia (ex-Lyra). She's about 90 or 95% ready for the long
voyage I am not going to be making in her after all. She was used by
one owner for many years in Puget Sound, in 1998 she was bought and
taken to Mexico. I found her in Puerto Vallarta dirty but in
excellent condition and very well equipped. Brought her home to
Seattle by stages (sailed 1000 miles uphill to San Diego, then
trucked her from there. . .).
Overall she's in splendid condition, beautiful original interior
woodwork, nearly unblemished hull, sunbleached but sound deck
molding, beautiful brand new heavy duty sails with 3 reefs in the
main, roller reefing lapper with foam luff, standing rigging new in
1998, original Volvo with combi working perfectly, Furuno radar, vhf,
collision avoidance radar detector, anchor windlass, 3 sets of ground
tackle, solar panels, wind vane and auto pilot (yes, both), older but
serviceable inflatable dink, cozi cabin heater and propane gimballed
stove (both Force 10), weather cloths, satellite epirb, innumerable
items of equipment, , newish cushions. . .on a City mooring in Eagle
Harbor (near Seattle). I have too much invested but will sell her
for $14,500.
Or at least. . .until I come to my senses and change my mind again.
Best regards, Ken Preston
