PEGGY HELP!! K.O. C.P. B.C. C.U.??? My Diesel furnace had a leaky O-ring last November and now the boat has a diesel smell. Until now we have never had the all to common smell in our boat and my wife said “I WANT IT OUT OF THERE!!”. I am planning to get your sampler from the Catalina store but was looking for suggestions on how to go about getting rid of the smell. Which product will work best. It seems that the smell came from fuel that leaked into the fresh air side of the heater and was blown around the boat. I was also wondering if the ozone generators might help with this problem? Thanks for your help.

B.C. is the product you want to use..

...to get rid of diesel (or any petroleum problem). However, if oil has gotten into the central heat/ac ducts, you may need to call a professional to clean them out...'cuz I don't know how you're gonna get inside them to wash them out, which is what has to be done, without ripping out the whole system. Don't use an ozone generator! Ozone is highly corrosive, plus it attacks rubber, neoprene and hoses..and ozone is harmful to humans. Besides, it will only take the odor out of the air, it won't remove the source...and the only way to permanently get rid of any odor is to get rid of its source.
