Engine movement has a lot to do with strain on the entire system. Make sure your mounts are good. If not, only use the OEM mounts to replace as others are not as robust. Also keep the idling down to a minimum, major cause of induced vibration.
I installed a flexible coupling to help with isolating engine movement. When you are motoring hard into steep chop, go below and see how much you engine moves around, and then realize yep I got my engine alignment down to ".003" well I got mine to "Spot On", even with new mounts you can bet your engine is moving around more than that!!

So,
We closed on the boat a cople of weeks ago. Due to work and travelling I didn't get to see the boat since the survey. This is my first weekend actually spending time on board. What fun! I have spent the past couple of hours cleaning her up a bit and figureing out the systems. I have been looking forward to this weekend for a while. Glad it is heare. Can't wait to actually take her out and sail!

It's a great feeling isn't it? It's amazing how you can truly miss a supposed inanimate object so bad! That, in and of itself, is proof that each and every boat, from the duck hunting boat to the largest of cruise ships, has a soul.

Enjoy her and have a great sail!
