Just Re-Rigged Advice on Inner shroud tension

I have a Beneteau 35s5 which needed to have the keel dropped, to do this I had to have the Mast unstepped by the local rigging company SMR. There were many faults with their work but the thing which most concerns me is the inner shroud tension. The inner shroud is now able to move about 6 tio 10 inches when to leeward and when in the Marina with no sail up both inner shrouds can be shaken and moved by about 5 - 6 inches. Before I go and make a fuss can someone please tell me if this is somehow correct. Rgds Andrew

Shroud Should NOT move

Shrouds (stays) should be tight, perhaps aaccepting some slight hand deflection on leeward side. Should NEVER be loose enough to exhibit free-flopping! See the earlier discussions (LOOS GAGE 4 STAYS, etc.).

tuning

Sounds like the rigging company has separated stepping the mast and tuning the rig. My best guess is that they will want to change extra for the time involved with tuning your rig.

Just stepping

Even idf the rigger just charged for "stepping" the mast (not tuning), all wires should have been left snug to tight.

shoddy workmanship

Seems like you are confirming my fears, poor workmanship, I was out in 35 knot winds at the weekend, the thought of what could have happened makes me shiver. These Guys, broke electrical equipment, left connections for instruments unconnected, ran my running rigging incorrectly and have charged me somewhere in the region of £1500 which is appx $2300 About to have a very serious word with them... thanks for your help.
