After spending the last 10 years on a mooring on a small inland lake, with a couple of trips to the big lake each year, I got a great deal on a mooring on Lake Michigan (on the Milwaukee south shore) and bought it on Monday. The boat is already on the mooring. I enjoyed the small lake but outgrew it. I still have my sailing dinghy (Topper 12 foot boat) for the small lake, but there is nothing like sailing for an hour without tacking, or popping up the coast to Port Washington on a whim. September and the first half of October can be great sailing months and I'm really looking forward to a good last couple of months of sailing.

I even found a lakefront camera that allows me to see my boat from the comfort of my office (www.lakefrontcam.com). Of course, that may tempt me to sneak out of the office more often, but that's not such a bad thing from time to time.

Re: nice harbor!!

Mike -

There are not many 25 foot slips, and most are in the 30 foot range and run about $2k per season.
