Jon, Yeah, that 3 blade will be a drag..........but I think I might like it motoring into the wind heading up the Sound. Cruisers who have the 3 blade prop seem to sing it's praises when compared to the 2 blade- but we will see. Chip at CSR tried real hard to sell me a feathering prop for $2-$3k! I told him I would try my 3 blade for two years and consider it at the next haul-out. Yes, that is a T.V. antenna. Thought I'd try that as well as it came with the boat. I guess I can always take it down if I don't like it. I interested to see if I get good reception using it. If I want to take it down later, I hope you have a boatswains chair I can barrow! It doesn't look too bad, don't you think?........I like the way it is mounted a little forward. Did you see the wind machine? I really like the Tridata electronics that came with the boat. I added an S1 autopilot I got at the Boat show and a Garmin 498 chartploter. Now all I have to do is install them. That should be fun. Well, I have a couple of months to figure it all out. I will need to buy an extra Navpod to hold the displays. They step the mast tomorrow and will splash tomorrow evening. I will bring the boat over to Freemont sometime on Wednesday. Wish me luck! BTW, routing that air vent per your suggestion worked perfectly! Thanks. Cheers! Will

Interesting

I've got my eye on a Garmin 492. My older GPSMAP lost it's ability to read the chart chips, when it hit the deck, as I was mounting it the first night of last summer's big cruise. I could still use my routes and waypoints, and all data, but below 32 NM scale, the islands looked like blocky shapes. I shoud have sent it in for repair last fall. Now Garmin lists it as, repair no longer available. I kind of wanted to upgrade anyway. Now I just have to download all my routes and waypoints to save them. I'll probably be down at the dock Wedensday myself.
