Well, summer is really here. Boat safely and drive defensively. There will be a lot of cooks out there. If you happen to go watch fireworks someplace from your boat, be extra caution when the fireworks end. The power-boaters tend to go crazy and go full throttle after the final fireworks display.
Best to sit at anchor for 1/2 hour to let the mad rush end.
More then once we have had some serious boating accidents on the Hudson right after the fireworks end.
