Here's another announcement to all Capri/Catalina 18 owners. You are invited to join the C-18 National Association. I am the secretary/treasurer for the assn. and can be contacted by e-mail at esvanr@firedept.net
I'm just starting to look at used sailboats again (have wanted one for years). Is the 18' Capri a good choice for a beginner who has a "crew" of wife and two teenagers? I'll be sailing the lakes around Phoenix, AZ.Thanks for your opinion.
Mike, you can e-mail me at esvanr@firedept.netI can then mail you back with details on the C-18. I think it's a good small keelboat for a beginner. The cabin is roomy for its size, and the boat is very stable. It's not an open-water boat, though, as its size limits its rough water capability.
