I think I recall reading on one of these threads about a modification offered by "Catalina Direct," or maybe it was Catalina itself, for the chainplate in older C27's. Does anyone remember this or know of the modification?... or am I getting senile? If any of you do remember or, better yet, have done this mod, can you tell me how to tell if it has been done on my boat? Is there something specific I can check to see if it is modified and if not what is the best way to determine if I need to consider this mod sooner rather than later? Pictures would be nice but any help would be appreciated. Regards, Lysle
