Jiffy Reefing on a Hunter 28.5

Hi everyone,

My first post here. I just took delivery of an '86 Hunter 28.5, upgrading from a Precision 18.

The previous owner removed the in-boom reefing lines. I plan on running new lines. There are no pad eyes on the boom, so I will plan on installing 2 - one for the first reef point, the second pad eye for the second reef point.

Is the port side reefing line for the first or second reef point? If I understand correctly, it would terminate on the starboard side inline with it's respective reef point.

What size are the reef lines?
