I have just purchased a 82 h27. My old boat had jib sheet tracks. How do i attach the jib sheets ? are they run through blocks attached to the toe rail? thanks Gary

two blocks on port, two on starboard

your correct, four all together. you can move the blocks forward and back under light and heavy air. (always fun trying to figure out how far) Great boat, have fun

4 blocks?

When I bought the boat it had 2 jib sheet blocks. I have since replaced these. How would you use four blocks? Yes, the blocks attach to the toe rail. I set mine so the the sheet comes off of the sail at 45 degrees (i.e. a line dividing the sail equally.) Granted, moving the blocks would be more efficient, if you are worried about things like that. With a 10 knot wind on the beam or forward and she will give her all. Andy "Baroque"

4 blocks

Yes, on port we place 1 45 degrees off and run the sheet to another block back the the cockpit behind the winch instead of directly from the first block to the winch.

OK, 2 blocks...

Our sheets are tied to the clew with bowlines. Each leads aft to a block on the toe rail, and then directly to the winches on the coaming of the cockpit. We move the blocks forward for the appropriate lead angle when we reef the genny in higher winds. We've had no problems with this set-up in over 2,000 miles of cruising on Lake Erie.
