Jib Sheets - need advice

I need to replace the jib sheets on my Hunter 27. Since I am a new sailor I would like advice on what to purchase. Thx Roy

Short cut

Get a West marine catalog (or go online). In it they explain all the lines and their pros and cons, matched to boat size and the kind of sailing you do.

You can't go wrong if you buy your halyards and sheets right here on the chandlery. That's what I do.

Your choices are made clearer by the thoughts above. There's good guidance there. I'd add the following choices you have: stretch - crusier or racer? manufacturer - real hard to recommend, since each vendor makes somewhat different line hand: it's the "feel" of the line - try some out on friend's boats and in the store(s); ask around your dock color - your boat, your choice. For your boat...

I would use 2 x 45' of 3/8 inch cruising grade line. such as: New England Sta-Set (not sta-set X} Samson LS Yale Yacht Braid Don't waste your money on anything high tech.
