You could probably mount any standup block on your O'Day and it would work fine. The Beneteau parts website requires you to register, I could look it up if you knew the boat better you saw it on. Is it a First, a Oceanis, or something else? Size would be helpful as well. I think it would be much easier for you to just buy a stand up block and deck mount it or attach one to a stanchion.

Also, the Beneteau parts website is horrible to navigate.

If it's OEM Beneteau on an older boat, it is probably a block made/sold by Amiot, an older supplier to Beneteau of deck hardware (travelers, blocks, jib tracks, etc). Sources for one might be www.Rigrite.com or Beneteau USA. What I have found is that Amiot stuff is hard to come by and when found it's expensive. Any of mine, I have rebuilt, if possible, or replaced.

I found something similar to that for my First 285, several years ago, on Rigrite. But, I wanted to replace one that was already there. I found this other block (LEW29927264BK), to match one already on my current boat, last fall from Mauripro.com.

The block is marked Spinlock. It think this style is called a "cheek block".

Definitely Spinlock, as it’s printed on the side. I can’t find it in their product list though, so it might be discontinued.

An older West catalog has them as Lewmar Jamming Blocks. Mine are used to free the lines from being on a winch to use the winch for some other line. Probably any souce of boating gear has them- or can get them.

Edit... sorry Dave, forgot to give you a plug.

It's a common cheek block, I don't think you can get that exact one any longer, but give me a call if you'd like.

Found one on EBay

You can find other manufacturers' version of this item, in many sizes, by searching "foot block with jammer"
