Does anybody know what size Luff Tape that is required on the jib for a furling sytem on a Catalina 25?? If you know what the stock furling system takes, that is what I need to know. Or how can I tell by looking at a jib what size luff tape it has in it, if I measure it what thickness is equivalent to a #5 or what thickness is equivalent to a #6? Sorry if this Qs is confusing, but if you know anything about luff tape sizes maybe you can clue me in Thanks.

Who manufactured your furler?

I have a CDI FF2 furler on my C22 and it uses #6 luff tape. My friend has an O'Day 26, with a Harken furler, and his uses #5 luff tape. You'll have to tell us who made your furler, and what model. Best would be to look up the manufacturer on the web, and contact them so that you know for sure. It would be an expensive mistake , not to mention the loss of sailing time while you corrected the mistake.

furling sail luff

Mike: Do you happen to know what the luff is on your furling headail with that CDI? I think the maximum on a C-22 with a CDI is 25 feet.
