While tacking my jib will hang on the tabernacle. I have tried several things to allow for the smooth passing of the jib sheet around the tabernacle without much success. Anyone have suggestions?

This is a common problem. The best way I was able to resolve it on my DS II was to tack quickly, but not release the old sheet, until I was through the head of the tack. With the jib well backwinded, when the sheet is let go it snaps to the leeward side relatively quickly and does not give adequate time fo the lazy sheet (upwind) to get caught up in the tabernacle. I also tried duct taping the front of the tabernacle so that there were no corners to get caught up on.
