HOW DO YOU ATTACH THE JIB HALYARD TO THE FRONT STAY? for down hauling the jib.?

rob it sounds like your new to sailing you can e mail me at stevecav@aros.net i can help you with your questions the jib halyard conects to the jib sail and gets hoisted up the for stay and attached at the bottom of the sail the boom has a goos neck that slides in to the mast with mast stopers and the main attaches to the boom and mast

jib down haul

i assume you want a jib down haul for bringing the sail to the deck and not luff tension. i attach a light line with a loop at the next to the top hank, and lead trough a small block attatched to the shackle of the jib tack, lead the line aft and cleat off there. uncleat and let run to raise. pull down to douse. good luck.
