Does anyone know what the diameter line the original jib halyard on an O'Day 32' CC is? I replaced both the main and jib halyards last spring, duplicating what was on her when I bought her. The main halyard has been fine, but the jib halyard has been problematic; at first, the thimble was hanging up on the furler foil, making it a mess to furl the jib. Once the thimble was removed, that problem went away. When pulling the sails for storage, I found that the jib halyard was jammed in the sheave, as the splice is about a foot long, and obviously much thicker that the 7/16" StaSet that the halyard is made of. I had thought that the halyards were original to my 1974, as they were in tatters, but I'm wondering if the originals were of lesser diameter. Thanks.

Their is at least one other 32 owner regularly on this forum. Several years ago someposted a chart by Bangor Punta that listed many of O'Day boats hayard sizes. I am attaching a copy of a copy of a copy. It is the best that I have. Captain Herring, the boss of this forum, tried to clean up the copy. The original poster of the chart has apparently sailed off to bluer waters. If you can find where Captain Herring put the copy he cleaned up on this forum, it might be more readable.
