Jib furler

We have just rented a wet slip for the next year and will not be trailering our Catalina 22 after this. I am wondering about installing a roller furler for the jib. Any words of wisdom on types, styles and whether they are worth the expense?Thanks, Bob

Furler

Furlers are great! You can reduce sail if the wind comes up, furl it up to put it away in seconds. You will need a sun shield on the sail if you intend to keep the jib up on the furler for any length of time, any sail loft can sew one in if you don't have it on the sail now. There are lots of systems out there ranging in price. I think the CDI furler might be a good choice for a small boat you can find them atwww.sailcdi.comThey are inexpensive and easy to install
