And my answer is ...
Peter: I think you answered my question. The 110% Genoa has stretched to a 115% Genoa. But the LP measurement was exactly 118 inches. Could the stretch be exactly 15 inches?John: The I and J specifications of 26 feet 0 inches and 8 feet 6 inches, respectively. A jib fitting these designs is called a working jib. Assuming a triangular sail shape, the sail area is 110.5 sq feet for this jib. The P and E dimensions for the mainsail are 25 feet 8 inches and 9 feet 9 inches, respectively. Again, assuming a triangular shape, the mainsail area is 125 sq feet for a total sail area of 235.5 as in the brochure. However, my 115% genoa has a sail area of 135.5 so my boat has a total sail area of 260.5 sq feet when underway. (See below)Bill: And my answer is:1. The SA/D for my boat is 22.9 (very fast) compared to an SA/D of 20.7 (fast) for working jib only.2. The center of effort (CE) for my sail plan is farther forward than that of the sail plan with the working jib.And my question is:Did anyone ever order a working jib for their H23?Cheers! Kevin.
