I don't know the Jenne 36i that well
I have seen them them at the boat shows, there are also J37's from our marina that are time share boats and they seem decent. The J36i's are not that new, I am not sure why there are no reveiws. Maybe its because seem to be like a lot of other boats and not really distinguish itself from the pack.If you are looking in the 36' size a Classic in that range is the Catalina 36 (its actually 37' 4" overall) that has a great pedigree. Its a great sailing boat thats been sailed all over the world, but still in the Coastal Cruising category. Its a great combination of sailing, stability, form, function and good looks in a reasonable price, package, resale and maintainability. You can get one almost new or 25 years old for a lot less than a new J36i. The J36i seems like a much lighter boat so if you are really focusing on racing, light winds and not planning on heavy weather the jenne might be better. If you like larger hardware, winches, etc and things like solid Teak Doors down below you'll appreciate the Catalina. One other thing, if you really value a strong boat owners association the Catalina 36 is in a class unto itself. Great Support, people, get togethers and knowledge base from the C36 International Organization. take a look at the C36 owners association here www.catalina36.orgIf you are patient, Catalina is planning on a new Catalina 375 which is taking the great attributes of the C36 and upgrading and expanding on it.
