If that water comes up to the house, better look before you wade...

Years ago, when the Admiral used to accompany me on cruises to Cuttyhunk Island and Martha's Vineyard, I had just bought my first Autohelm 800 and installed it because she never liked steering the boat.
One day we left Cuttyhunk Island and motored through the Canapitisit Channel and headed toward Vineyard Haven in the Sound. It was so hot that I climbed down the swim ladder while she was under sail, and hung off it in the water to get cool. When I finally climbed back into the cockpit all cool and refreshed, my wife said, "Hey look at that fin in the water over there." "Is that a shark?" Sure enough, it was a shark and boy was he large! So I've curtailed this practice of hanging off my swim ladder to get cool. I wonder if sharks like "Portugees?" :D
