Javelin mainsail dimensions ?

I have looked on the various sailmaker sites, sailboat specification pages, and nowhere have I been able to find the I, E, P, J data for a Javelin, or the dimensions of the mainsail. I bought my Javelin a couple of years ago, and it had been quite badly treated by its previous owner(s). The mainsail is all bagged out and has been patched in several places. To get an online quote for a new main, I need the dimensions. Does anyone have them readily at hand ? Would greatly appreciate it.Bob McGeeO'Day 22 "HuldahLouise"Augusta, Maine

You could measure it

Bob -First, I would call the chandlery attached to this site and ask them to see if the Doyle loft has the dimmensions. They very well may.Failing that, you could just measure it if you can't find the dimmensions. Or, better yet, bring it in to a sailmaker. It would be nice if you let them build you a sail, but if you were up front about it they might agree just to measure it for you for a small fee.If you are unfamiliar with the lofts in the area there are several I have worked with on my own projects I could introduce you to here in the Portland area. Sailrite has the dimensions

Bob:The Sailrite site (www.sailrite.com) has both finished sails and sail kits.I was just at their site, and they do have the dimensions there. If you are still having a problem, you can go to my website on my Javelin restoration, and look on the historic page - I have the JCA spec sheet there.Dave
